Accessing The Future Update
Below are highlights of our Accessing The Future Capital Campaign and construction project.
As of July 1, we have pledges of $948K and collected $697,000 against our $1M goal. Given that the cost of materials and labor have increased over the past few months, it is even more important that we reach our goal. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this important project.
Approval from Diocese to proceed with bids was given in April, and the receipt of competitive bids occurred in May. Selection of CMG of Easton as our contractor and approval from the Diocese to proceed occurred in June.
Building Permit Applications and plans were submitted to the Code Enforcement Office in June. On July 6, the Zoning/Code Official confirmed that the parcel does NOT require land development. The UCC permits will be processed.
And now what we’ve all been waiting for……. Construction is planned to start the 1 st or 2 nd week of August and last 4 months depending on weather.
The Church, Jacques Center and Barrett Center will be occupied during construction.
A preliminary site fencing plan includes enclosing some of the parking lot and the area between the Church and the Barrett Center. Port-a-John, any soil stockpile, dumpsters, and storage of material will be within this area. Final plan to be submitted.
Handicapped access to church will be maintained during construction.
Temporary ramp at Main Street must be installed prior to closing off the existing ramp.
We will regularly include updates in the bulletin and our website starting next week.
If you have any questions, please submit them to the office or on the website.
